About M&W Education UK
Founded by educators Rebecca Marfo and Ria Wallace, M&W Education UK brings together over a decade of teaching and leadership experience across state, independent, selective and non-selective schools.
Our approach has supported children in gaining places at leading independent schools including City of London School for Boys, North London Collegiate School and Wycombe Abbey School, alongside highly selective grammar schools such as Queen Elizabeth's School, Henrietta Barnett School and Sutton Grammar School.
Alongside specialist preparation for selective school entry, M&W Education UK provides personalised learning programmes, academic tuition and educational guidance for children aged 2.5 to 16, from the early years through to GCSE.
Our focus extends beyond preparing children for an assessment. We aim to build strong foundations, deep understanding and lasting academic confidence, identifying what each child needs now while keeping their longer-term development in view.
Every family is different. Some require regular tuition, others need a targeted learning programme, expert guidance or structured academic continuity while travelling or living between countries. We take time to understand the child, their circumstances and their goals before recommending the most appropriate form of support.
Where tuition is the right option, we carefully consider the fit between child and tutor, taking account of learning needs, personality, goals and teaching approach. Where another route would be more appropriate, we can recommend a different M&W service instead.

Ria Wallace
Co-Founder
With over a decade in education and independent school leadership, including experience at some of the country's top private schools, I co-founded M&W because I saw too many children arrive at assessments anxious and underprepared.
Since then, I've helped hundreds of children secure offers at their first-choice schools, improve their grades and, just as importantly, transform how they feel about learning. Confidence, once built properly, lasts far beyond any exam.
I believe calm, structured preparation is what makes the difference. Not pressure. Not cramming. Just the right support, at the right time.

I kept seeing the same thing: bright, capable children exhausted from tutoring centres, working through generic content that was never built for them. This was not because they couldn't do it, but it was because nobody had taken the time to understand how they learned.
With over a decade in education and senior leadership as a SENCo, I've spent my career doing exactly that. Adaptive teaching isn't a buzzword to me. It's what turns a child who's switched off into one who believes they can.
I co-founded M&W Education UK because preparation should fit the child and not the other way around.
